I lived it. That's why I built this.
It started as a migraine that wouldn't quit. Then came more symptoms, and more, until they were debilitating. Many providers and even urgent care visits — and no one could find anything wrong from standard examination or blood tests.
A friend brought up potential long-term mold exposure from my home. Elevated levels were found — the problem wasn't in my head, it was in my home.
Over three years, it cost me more than $50,000 — testing, remediation, and clawing my health back. I went on leave from work. I moved out. I went through remediation, and turned to functional health to start rebuilding what the mold had taken. Recovery was slow. But piece by piece, I got my life back.
I'm still healing — and I'm honest about that. What I'm not is in the dark anymore. That experience turned me into an advocate against the moldy homes and workplaces quietly making people sick, and convinced me of one thing: when mold is hidden and hard to find, a trained dog is the best answer there is.
Dogs On Mold exists so you don't have to lose what I lost along my journey. If you're sick and no one can explain why — or you just want to know what's really in your walls — this is for you.
